In the early morning, I was driving from Fairland, IN to Whiteland, IN. Between two mature corn fields on a county road, my headlights picked up what appeared to be a buffalo about 100 yards from the front of my car. As I approached closer the pitch of my headlights went higher. The height of the creature didn’t seem to makes sense with my initial thought of it being a buffalo, or the fact that we don’t typically have free roaming buffalo in central Indiana. When I was about 30 yards from this creature, it moved off the road to the field of corn. I passed the location and the silhouette of the creature stood taller than the fully grown corn in the field. This all happened so fast that I had a hard time of organizing my thoughts at the time. To this day I drive through this area and replay how the event unfolded.
