Fishing on a private lake, me and my Father heard a loud chuffing bark like sound and then 3 loud booms. It sounded like something was either stomping or wood was being hit, either way it was a very deep sound. It repeated the actions with the chuffing and then 3 other loud booms, it then proceeded to run away through the woods. We never visually saw the creature responsible but we did find snapped branches and two obvious footprints.

We never visually saw the creature responsible but we did find snapped branches and two obvious footprints. In the attached image you will see my shoe for reference, I am a women’s 11 and these footprints were much larger. The broken twigs were roughly 2’ above my head standing on the bridge and I am 5’9.
